Regional Disability Coordinator

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting individuals with disabilities and their families to achieve their goals and live independently. The successful candidate will work in the region of Bunbury and collaborate with participants to develop personalized plans.
You will also be responsible for:
- Facilitating NDIS applications for individuals with permanent and significant disabilities.
- Connecting people with disabilities to local community resources and support services.
- Supporting participants to navigate the NDIS and optimize their engagement.
- Improving community awareness of the NDIS and creating opportunities for participants to access services and support.
Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and compassion are essential qualities for this role. You should be an approachable and positive individual who can build relationships easily and confidently.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities or relevant lived experience.
- Experience in planning and collaboration to achieve collaborative outcomes.
- Knowledge of the local community and available options for social and economic participation.
- Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365 proficiency.
