Clinical Specialist

South Western Sydney Local Health District is recruiting for a Career Medical Officer to complement and enhance the current Anaesthetics Department at Campbelltown Hospital.
The successful candidate will provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under their care, within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.
This role involves assisting in the provision of the Anaesthetics Department at Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals through medical management, clinical direction to and collaboration with other Anaesthetics and facility staff, as well as clinical care for Anaesthetics.
The Career Medical Officer provides high-quality experienced clinical service to the Anaesthetics Department. The personal development aim is to develop the skills and knowledge needed to operate independently as an Anaesthetics medical practitioner.
Required Skills and Qualifications- MBBS or equivalent
- Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Minimum 5 years Anaesthesia experience and previous experience in critical disciplines such as Intensive Care, Anaesthetic, or Emergency Medicine
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex clinical environment
- Demonstrated excellent clinical skills, clinical judgement, and clinical expertise
- Demonstrated teamwork, time management, and problem-solving skills in a clinical setting and in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Demonstrated participation in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, including supervision of junior medical staff
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development, including evidence of participation in continuing medical education/continuing professional development
