The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities.

We are currently searching for a Materials Controller to join our team on Project Ceres. Reporting to the Materials Manager, this position will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and components throughout our operations.

This role involves monitoring and managing the flow of materials and supplies to meet production and operational needs. It also involves coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries of materials and components.

Maintaining accurate records of stock levels, material usage, and order status is a key responsibility of this position. Working closely with the production team to forecast material requirements and prevent shortages is also an important aspect of the job.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage the flow of materials and supplies to meet production and operational needs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries of materials and components.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, material usage, and order status.
  • Work closely with the production team to forecast material requirements and prevent shortages.
  • Perform regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Manage material storage, organization, and stock rotation to optimize space and minimize waste.
  • Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and follow up on backorders.

Skill Requirements:

  • Proven experience in materials control, inventory management, or a similar role (experience in manufacturing or production is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and practices.
  • Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
