Engineering Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Officer to join our team at Regional Express (Rex) in the role of Engineering Officer (Purchasing). This is a full-time position located at our Sydney Head Office.
Key Responsibilities- Process Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our Engineering Operations.
- KPI Development and Analysis: Design, review, and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track and analyze our performance.
- Discrepancy Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into discrepancies and respond accordingly.
- Aircraft Reliability Assessments: Perform reliability assessments of aircraft and aircraft components to ensure optimal performance.
- Purchasing and Procurement: Source and purchase commercial and aircraft parts in support of our operations.
- Inventory Management: Manage stock levels, distribution, and reorder reports to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Cost Control: Ensure that all purchasing and procurement activities are conducted in a cost-effective manner.
- Data Management: Enter and verify data accurately and efficiently.
- Tertiary Qualifications: Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Software Knowledge: Possess extensive knowledge of software specific to document development and management.
- Technical Documentation: Have experience in developing and reviewing technical documentation.
- Aviation Industry Experience: Previous experience in the Aviation industry is highly desirable.
- Teamwork and Independence: Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment and also work independently with minimal supervision.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage engineering projects from start to finish.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Microsoft Suite Proficiency: Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
