About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Specialist to join our Asia Pacific Region team. The successful candidate will be based in our Sydney office and will cover activity across our APAC offices (Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, China, and Thailand).

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily reviews of new matters for all APAC offices, ensuring accurate and timely financial data management.
  • Manage shared mailboxes and communicate effectively with front-office teams to resolve queries related to matter opening processes.
  • Identify and escalate risks, suggesting mitigation strategies and collaborating with the Matter Finance Data team to implement solutions.
  • Assist with rates requests for all APAC offices, verifying client agreements and checking matter rates.
  • Billing for Australian partners using various billing workflows, including joint, split, and multi-payor billing.
  • Support e-billing functions across Australia, onboarding clients, generating LEDES files, and uploading invoices to platforms like Tymetrix and Brightflag.
  • Action write-off requests, matter closures, time transfers, bill reversals, and reissues.
Requirements
  • A minimum of one year's experience in legal services finance, operations, or a related field, with a strong track record of consistent delivery, continuous improvement, and problem-solving.
  • Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and comfortable working in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently.
Salary

$85,000 - $105,000 per annum, depending on experience.
