Quant Trader Job Description

Our client, a leading global trading and market making firm, is seeking a skilled Quant Trader to join their team in Sydney. As a Quant Trader, you will be responsible for researching and developing new quantitative trading strategies for markets in AsiaPac.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement quantitative models to optimize trading strategies.
  • Conduct backtesting and performance analysis to evaluate trading hypotheses.
  • Develop analytics reports to gain further insight into trading performance.
  • Build and maintain Python tools to support research tasks.
  • Collaborate with traders and developers to monitor and optimize automated trading systems.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a quant trading or research role at a fund, bank, or trading house.
  • Advanced programming skills in Python.
  • Strong educational background in Science, Mathematics, or quantitative courses.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
