Are you passionate about helping people with disabilities live their best lives? We are seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team in Launceston and surrounding suburbs.

In this role, you will work closely with clients to provide person-centered support, community access, and personal care. You will be responsible for encouraging clients to become self-sufficient and lead fulfilling lives.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will work in various residential homes across the Southern Tasmanian region. You will join a collaborative and supportive team who will provide individualized training so you can best support our varied cohort of residents and clients.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III or IV in Disability or similar, as well as a current Australian Drivers License. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with office-based staff to develop and implement Person-Centered Plans (PCPs)
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including medication management, personal hygiene, food preparation, dressing, and mealtime support
  • Maintain accurate records related to medical, behavioral, and financial documentation
  • Complete necessary administrative tasks, such as payroll, compliance reports, and client procedural paperwork

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability or similar
  • Current Australian Drivers License
  • Completed First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Working with Vulnerable People with NDIS Endorsement and Child-related activity
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate - "Quality, Safety & You"
