Merchandise Manager Position
About the Role:- We are seeking an experienced Merchandise Manager to lead our rural merchandise sales team in Dalby, Australia.
- The sales of rural products, including agricultural chemicals, seeds, animal health solutions, fencing supplies, and general merchandise.
- Manage inventory levels through forecasting, planning, procurement, ordering, sales processing, logistics, stock control, and stocktakes.
- Collaborate with management, agronomists, procurement, and other team members to deliver value to clients and customers.
- Oversee the regional storage warehouse facility and associated logistics.
- Work with supplier representatives to develop business growth initiatives, analyze market trends, climatic considerations, and seasonal factors.
- A strong technical background in pricing, margin management, and sales target achievement through effective category development is essential.
- Relevant agricultural industry knowledge and experience in warehouse management are highly desirable.
- You will need to identify opportunities for business development, network effectively, and drive business outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal skills, solid long-term relationships with customers and key internal stakeholders, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Familiarity with SAP ERP and MS Excel for reporting is advantageous.
- A forklift ticket and HR license are mandatory; willingness to obtain a HR license is also acceptable.
