Maintenance Operations Planner Job Description

Our organization seeks a skilled Maintenance Operations Planner to play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of our facility and contributing to the achievement of our business objectives.

The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Operations Planner is to eliminate waste from major equipment overhauls through effective planning and scheduling of all service activities. This includes coordinating with tradespersons, optimizing resource utilization, and tracking costs associated with external requests.

We are seeking a candidate with strong planning experience, proficiency in PC software, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a team of planners. They will also possess high attention to detail, analytical skills, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to the total planning process in the maintenance department through established rules and standardized work.
  • Maximize equipment availability by ensuring that appropriate operating and maintenance strategies are agreed upon between key personnel and documented and communicated.
  • Plan, schedule, and align major equipment outages to maximize business value and minimize losses.
  • Responsible for creating maintenance metrics and addressing improvement opportunities for the achievement of the operational plan.
