This apprenticeship involves working alongside trade-qualified staff to assist the team in meeting daily operational requirements while learning a trade. You will have the opportunity to learn skills required to join the workshop team, perform minor repairs and servicing vehicles and equipment within your skill level and experience, and enter a 4-year training contract within a secure employment environment.
The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality, honesty, and commitment to completing their trade qualification. They will also have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the automotive industry, good mathematics, science, and English skills, and be able to take direction and show initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description- Learning skills required to join the Workshop team under supervision.
- Performing minor repairs and servicing vehicles and equipment within your skill level and experience.
- Entering a 4-year training contract within a secure employment environment, undertaking a nationally recognised training program.
- A completed School Certificate or Higher School Certificate.
- Good Mathematics, Science, and English skills.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality, honesty, and commitment to completing your trade qualification.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in the automotive industry.
- Good communication skills.
- A strong focus on safety in the workplace.
- A positive attitude and self-motivation.
- A current driver's licence or ability to obtain one once meeting minimum eligibility requirements.
- Competitive hourly rate above Modern Award rates.
- Weekly Tool Allowance for toolbox maintenance.
- Attendance Allowance paid at $16 per day.
- Work uniforms and PPE provided.
- Opportunities for overtime, paid at applicable penalty rates.
