Job Description

The role of the Lead Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Specialist involves leading the development and implementation of HSE procedures to ensure a safe and secure work environment for all employees.

As a key member of the HSE team, you will be responsible for working closely with frontline and management teams to drive HSE excellence across the organization. This includes coaching and mentoring supervisors and managers on building a strong HSE culture and accountability for HSE in their areas.

You will also be responsible for working closely with local and regional HSE teams as well as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on specific risks relating to an Oil & Gas supply base. Additionally, you will provide support to and participate in emergency response arrangements, including the development and maintenance of procedures and training.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing and delivering HSE awareness and workforce engagement programs as required. Your focus will be on the Health aspects of HSE, especially mental health promotion among the site.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or NEBOSH or Cert 4 in OHS Certificate or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of working experience related to HSE background
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
