Quantitative Researcher Role

We are seeking a highly skilled quantitative researcher to join our systematic commodities team in Sydney. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quantitative trading and expertise in mid-frequency commodity strategies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and optimize high-performance algorithmic trading strategies for commodity markets including energy, power, metals, and ags.
  • Work closely with portfolio managers to generate alpha, develop models, backtest, and construct portfolios.
  • Collaborate with leading quantitative researchers and engineers to enhance existing strategies and identify new trading opportunities.
Key Qualifications:
  • Advanced academic qualifications (Master's/PhD) in a quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in generating alpha and developing high-performing strategies within commodity markets.
  • Strong background in quantitative trading with specific expertise in mid-frequency commodity strategies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including Python.
  • Expertise in machine learning techniques and tools applied to strategy development and optimization.
