About the Role

The NSW Government is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to fill a challenging and rewarding position within the Acute Adult Inpatient Units at NSW Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing person-centred, evidence-based nursing care that promotes positive health outcomes. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with consumers and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.



Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for consumers in the Acute Adult Inpatient Units

• Collaborate with consumers and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide person-centred care

• Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with consumers, families, and carers

• Participate in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures

• Contribute to the education and professional development of less experienced clinicians

• Maintain current knowledge and skills in nursing practice, including evidence-based practice and critical thinking

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)

• Recent clinical experience in a mental health care setting

• Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based practice and critical thinking

• Demonstrated commitment to person-centred care and the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect, and Empowerment

• High level verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Computer literacy and understanding of relevant health-related information systems
