Pharmacy Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Hy-Vee Inc. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting our pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of prescription medications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, ensuring a positive experience for our customers.
• Assist pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of prescription medications, including gathering patient information, entering prescription and patient data into the computer, and preparing prescriptions for dispensing.
• Perform various administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, handling customer inquiries, and processing insurance claims.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stocking of pharmacy supplies.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working towards a licensed technician certification through a certified national program.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy clerk or in a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, pharmacists, and other team members.
