Tax Professional

A senior role in tax planning, preparation and review.

We are seeking a Tax Professional to lead our tax team. This is a critical position responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax planning, preparation and review process for various tax engagements. The successful candidate will also oversee miscellaneous tax projects and conduct complex tax research to support client compliance and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee tax engagements including tax planning, preparation and review of corporate, partnership, trust and individual income tax returns
  • Prepare complex corporate, partnership, trust and individual income tax returns and perform necessary tax planning and research
  • Supervise and review work of seniors, staff, and interns on assigned client engagements
  • Develop and implement training programs for seniors, staff and interns
  • Communicate with management and clients regarding work status, problems and findings

Major Initiatives:

  • Engagement Growth: Represent the firm, build relationships, identify opportunities to obtain new engagements and assist in securing new clients
  • Client Focus: Demonstrate strong analytical skills, working knowledge of accounting and tax software, ability to identify client risks and issues and communicate recommendations
  • Practice Development: Exemplify brand attributes, promote positive work environment, support adherence to administrative policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Strong proficiency in federal, state and local tax issues
  • Approximately 5-7 years of public accounting experience in tax
