The Role:

We seek enthusiastic crew members to operate a Terrestrial Laser Scanner and assist with ecological field inventory data collection.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team for smooth operations.
  • Prepare necessary arrangements prior to each trip.
  • Operate the Terrestrial Laser Scanner (training provided).
  • Collect ecological field inventory data (training provided).
  • Collect accurate and efficient data throughout the duration of the trip.
  • Set up camp and assist with cooking and meal preparation.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Physical Fitness: Ability to walk and carry heavy equipment over various terrains.
  • Teamwork: Comfortable working collaboratively in a close-knit team for extended periods.
  • Camping Experience: Familiarity with camping practices.
  • Outdoor Skills: Experience navigating and working in natural bush environments.
  • Driver's License: A current, valid driver's license is required.
  • Fieldwork Experience: Previous experience in outdoor fieldwork is a plus.
  • Passion for Nature: A genuine interest in the natural world, evidenced by academic or self-directed studies.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in physically demanding outdoor conditions.
