About Our Client

Our client is a company that focuses on ecological, bushfire, and cultural heritage projects across Australia. They serve various government agencies and corporate clients, operating from offices in multiple locations.

The Role: Cultural Heritage Advisor

This role will provide you with exposure to complex cultural heritage projects, including designing and executing fieldwork, leading technical teams, and providing detailed technical and statutory advice on Aboriginal cultural heritage matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute fieldwork for cultural heritage projects
  • Lead technical teams and provide technical guidance
  • Prepare technical reports and provide detailed advice on Aboriginal cultural heritage matters
  • Collaborate with the Heritage team and clients, Aboriginal representatives, and communities
  • Mentor and support teammates and take on direct management of a small team

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Archaeology are essential
  • Current Driver's License and capacity to work outdoors are essential
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including during fieldwork, and willingness to travel to field locations throughout Australia
  • Excellent communication skills, basic computer literacy, and ability to work autonomously as well as part of a specialist team
