Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the way in delivering high-impact, evidence-informed practice across aged care, disability, and mental health support services. As a Practice Specialist - Community Aged Care & Rights, you will be responsible for shaping policy and practice in aged care.


Key Responsibilities
  • Practice Framework Development: Lead the development of aged care practice frameworks and contribute to cross-sector practice improvement.
  • Clinical Policy Review: Review and create clinical policies, procedures, and manuals aligned with legislation and best practice.
  • Assessment and Quality Improvement: Conduct holistic assessments of current practices, identifying risk and opportunities for growth, and drive audit processes, data analysis, and reporting to support a culture of accountability and quality.
  • Training and Education: Deliver training, education, and coaching across the organisation to uplift capability.
  • Representation and Advocacy: Represent Practice Excellence internally and externally, championing safety, rights, and care outcomes.


Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification + AHPRA Registration.
  • Clearances: Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (paid) – or willingness to obtain, and Current Working with Children Check (paid) – or willingness to obtain.
  • Licences: Current Open, Unrestricted Driver's Licence.
  • Courses: Completion of NDIS Orientation Module: Quality, Safety & You.
  • Eligibility: Full working rights in Australia.
