Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Civil Designer to join our team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on unique future-focused projects, driving professional growth and development.

  • Prepare designs for civil engineering projects including roads, drainage, intersections, car parks, pathways, bus shelters, and street lighting.
  • Provide technical support and advice on design, engineering, traffic, and drainage matters.
  • Liaise with Government departments and statutory authorities.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of Federal and State grants.

This role is ideal for an experienced draftsman looking to move into project delivery space or a professional with a background in civil industry and/or road design.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering major civil capital projects.
  • Designing, estimating, and constructing civil engineering projects.
  • Providing expertise in road and civil design, detailing, and estimating.
  • Maintaining sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, IPWEA, Liveable Neighbourhoods, MRWA, AUSTROADS, and ARRB Guidelines.

Essential Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (Diploma in Civil Engineering minimum requirement) or substantial progress towards relevant formal qualifications.
  • Experience in Civil and Road Design - design, detailing, estimating, and construction.
  • Sound knowledge of Road, Traffic, and Drainage relevant matters and guidelines.
  • Sound knowledge of Local Government Act, Road Traffic Code, and other relevant Acts and regulations.
  • Comprehensive skills in the use of AutoCAD in road and civil design and drafting essential.
  • Certification in Worksite Traffic Management and a current Construction Induction Card required.
