Family Support Worker Role

We are seeking a skilled Family Support Worker to join our multidisciplinary team in providing early intervention mental health support to children and families in the Latrobe Valley. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to make a positive difference in the community.

About the Program

The Kids Connect program provides intensive, short-term, and community education interventions to children and their families. As the Family Support Worker, you will work closely with the team to deliver holistic support services to children at risk of developing mental health illnesses.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide direct support to children and families through individual and group sessions
- Develop and implement tailored support plans to address specific needs
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive service delivery

Requirements

- A relevant tertiary level qualification in health, community services, or behavioural/social sciences
- A current Working with Children Check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
