Technical Laboratory Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Laboratory Technician in a regional hospital setting. As a Technical Officer, you will be responsible for performing a range of laboratory investigations and tests, applying established methods and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory investigations and tests using established methods and procedures.
- Undertake technical tasks and duties, including preparation of materials and maintenance of equipment.
- Minimum qualification of Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in pathology services delivery, including use of Laboratory Information Systems.
- Ability to work efficiently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills.
- Initiative, problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to apply established principles in a pathology laboratory.
- This position is eligible for a Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme allowance of up to $5,000 per annum.
