Avionics Integration Specialist

Our team plays a crucial role in making humanity's exploration of the stars possible. The Avionics Integration Specialist integrates secondary structure, avionics, and stage propulsion components with the vehicle's primary structure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stage and assemble flight hardware
  • Use precision tools to ensure accuracy and precision
  • Work with assemblies that require attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Operate heavy equipment for large assemblies
  • Utilize personnel platforms (boom lifts, scissor lifts) to reach high areas safely
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to complete tasks efficiently
  • Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions to ensure quality and safety
  • Collaborate with production engineers to develop integration processes
  • Conduct fluids and pneumatic testing to guarantee system integrity
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 1+ years of experience with hardware installation OR completion of a trades program
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • FAA Airframe and PowerPlant license
  • Experience in the aerospace industry, aviation, military, or other high-reliability operating environment
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts, cranes, and heavy transport equipment
  • Knowledge of pressure, temperature, and flow measurement devices, mechanical and electrical systems, and propulsion engines
  • Skill in operating machinery and hand tools requiring manual dexterity
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments
  • Rapid adaptation to changing roles and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with computers and MS Office software
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs unassisted
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
