Senior Environmental Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Specialist to join our team in Western Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering strategic and practical solutions to clients facing environmental management challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement preliminary and detailed contaminated land assessments, prepare site management plans, remediation action plans and other reports for external and internal clients.
  • Lead and supervise a range of investigations, including soil, vapour, surface water, groundwater assessments and drilling programs.
  • Prepare cost-effective, tailored proposals for clients.
  • Initiate, plan, lead and execute contaminated land and groundwater projects from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal disciplinary teams to determine innovative and pragmatic solutions to complex environmental problems.
  • Analyse data and prepare clear and concise technical reports to a high standard.
  • Support the learning and progression of junior staff within the team.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Engineering, Hydrogeology or Geology.
  • A minimum of 5 years in contaminated land projects, with hydrogeology experience desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in site supervision, managing complex site investigations and various sampling methods, including soil and groundwater.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and standards.
  • Strong communication and report writing skills.
  • Strong business acumen to manage projects commercially.
  • Valid/current driver's licence and the ability to travel to sites for field work.
