About the Role

The Northern Territory PHN is seeking a skilled Dietitian to join our team in Darwin. As a Dietitian, you will play a vital role in imparting knowledge and understanding of diabetes, cardiac, and related conditions management principles to people with the condition and their support networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Impart knowledge and understanding of diabetes, cardiac, and related conditions management principles to people with the condition and support networks.
  • Assist other health professionals and participate in educational programs.
  • Support the development of educational resources appropriate for Northern Territory clients and health professionals.
  • If applicable, deliver a private dietetics service.

Requirements

  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA).
  • Attained or have Provisional APD Status.
  • A well-developed understanding of adult education learning principles, presentation skills, stages of behaviour change, and group education.
  • NT Driver's License (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs, resource development, and health promotion activities.
