Clinical Category Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Category Manager to join our team at Healthscope. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading sourcing activities and managing large, complex categories or projects in Health.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category plans, strategies, and frameworks to optimize value for money outcomes and meet stakeholder needs and expectations.
- Assess supply markets and supply arrangements by analyzing market trends, dynamics, and opportunities to inform market strategies and procurement decisions.
- Identify and manage commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, and supply chain risks to minimize negative impacts on category objectives.
- Develop optimal sourcing strategies to achieve consistent, quality outcomes for the category.
- Undertake thorough consultations with relevant organizational staff members to identify, evaluate, and implement category opportunities.
- Lead negotiations on high-impact, complex supply arrangements and contract issues to deliver better category outcomes.
- Provide expert advice to key stakeholders on all aspects of procurement and the procurement category.
- Establish performance standards and evaluation processes to assess and report on procurement activity.
Requirements
- Experience in leading sourcing activities and management of large, complex categories or projects in Health.
- Experience in Clinical Procurement Strategy Development.
- Experience in developing market-facing documents and evaluating tenders against multiple complex criteria.
- Ability to work within an ambiguous environment to implement change and influence and drive change.
- Understanding of commerce, financials, and risk within the procurement and supply environment.
