CSSD Instrument Technician Position

At our health care facility, we are seeking a skilled CSSD Instrument Technician to join our team. This casual position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with experienced professionals who share a commitment to high-quality patient care.

We require an individual with a Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (HLT 37015) as a minimum, or working towards the same. A strong understanding of standards relevant to CSSD is essential, particularly AS/NZS 4187 2014 and Australian Guidelines for the prevention and control of infection in healthcare 2019. The successful candidate will have experience working in a CSSD/Theatre environment, possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They should also be able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing education and professional development, ensuring they remain current within their scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and maintain medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Demonstrate expertise in sterilization procedures, adhering to industry-recognized standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective and efficient workflow within the department.
