About The Role

Seeking a motivated individual to fill the position of Casual Laboratory Assistant. As part of this role, you will support the health of regional communities while enjoying the flexibility to work across multiple locations.

You will be part of a supportive team delivering high-quality pathology collection services across various sites. A current driver's license and previous experience in blood collections are essential for success in this position.

The assigned region offers a range of experiences from Taronga Western Plains Zoo to museums, parks, and sporting opportunities. It provides housing, health, education, and professional services with an international airport offering regular flights to Sydney and other destinations.

This casual position offers the opportunity to gain experience, keep skills sharp, and enjoy travel opportunities. If considering relocation, personalized support is available to help settle into regional life.

We can offer learning and development opportunities, including in-house training with recognized training organizations. You will contribute to a customer-focused pathology collection service providing high-quality healthcare to all referrers and consumers.

Key qualifications include:

  • Certificate III in Pathology Collections or relevant experience.
  • Customer service skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with pathology terminology and requirements.
  • Valid Class C Driver's License (NSW) or capacity to travel to any site.

Must be willing to participate in shift type work including weekend work as required and travel to any site or location within the operational area.

Achieve data accuracy and proficiency in computer skills are also essential.
