Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of buses, including Battery Electric vehicles.

This is a workshop-based role where your technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to quality will make a real impact every day. Our team of mechanics collaborate to meet operational deadlines and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and manufacturer standards.

  • Conduct scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on buses (including Battery Electric vehicles)
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and safely
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and manufacturer standards
  • Work collaboratively with the Fleet and Workshop team to meet operational deadlines

About the Role

This position involves conducting routine maintenance tasks, inspecting and repairing faulty components, and ensuring overall vehicle reliability.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with heavy vehicles, a trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or similar, and a strong focus on safety and quality.

Your Skills and Qualifications
  • Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or similar
  • Experience in bus, truck or commercial vehicle maintenance
  • A safety-first mindset and pride in delivering quality work
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced workshop environment
  • HR licence desirable
  • Ability to obtain an Australian Security Identification Card (ASIC)
