Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will join our Surface Ops team at the Brucejack Mine in Northwestern, British Columbia, as a temporary Surface Labourer. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing waste rock removal stacking operations and general laboring duties with safety being the top priority.
- Cleaning up sites, including garbage pick-up and general cleanup, and assisting tradespersons such as carpenters and other construction and site activities.
- Loading and unloading materials and moving them to designated work areas.
- Participating in any site-specific training and performing other related duties to support the successful operation of the Brucejack Mine.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A High school diploma or GED and relevant general labor work experience in an industrial or mining environment.
- A valid Class 5 Drivers' License and the ability to lift 50lbs.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to follow all safe work practices.
- The capacity to work long shifts outside in variable mountain weather conditions.
