Childcare Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Childcare Coordinator to support the delivery of our service, providing before and after-school care and vacation care for children in a school we partner with.

The successful candidate will lead a team to develop and maintain a fun, safe, and compliant program, creating daily plans and organizing activities that cater to the needs and interests of the children. They will also supervise and support a group of primary-aged children, preparing and serving healthy food options, building meaningful relationships with children, families, and the school community, and nurturing a positive environment for learning, fun, and play.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement daily programs that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children
  • Supervise and support a group of primary-aged children during before and after-school care and vacation care
  • Prepare and serve healthy food options that meet nutritional standards
  • Build and maintain relationships with children, families, and the school community
  • Nurture a positive environment that promotes learning, fun, and play

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Relevant qualification in early childhood education or a related field
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team, excellent time management and organization skills, ability to create engaging and inclusive programs for children
