Visual Effects Production Assistant Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Visual Effects Production Assistant to join our team in Brisbane, Australia.

The ideal candidate will thrive on maintaining strong relationships with clients and team members, as well as supporting a world-class visual effects production crew creating stunning visuals for clients worldwide across commercials, film and television.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Producers, Production Managers, and Coordinators in day-to-day activities, general production errands, and tasks on assigned projects.
  • Support the Production Coordinator and Producer in following up on items after dailies and internal meetings.
  • Provide administrative support by taking notes and gathering information during meetings, dailies, and on the VFX floor.
  • Coordinate dailies sessions, notify the crew of times and locations, and distribute notes to artists.
  • Update production scheduling software such as Flow Production Tracking and Farmers Wife.
  • Maintain project management software like Shotgrid (Flow Production Tracking) when relevant.
  • Work closely with I/O managers to process outsource brief requests and maintain contact with vendors regarding feedback within project milestones/timelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work professionally with crew.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and processes.
  • Proficiency in GS Suite, Microsoft Office, and other industry-standard software.
