Contract Advisor Role Overview

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the procurement strategies of a global mining organisation as a Contract Advisor. The role involves delivering procurement plans that meet business objectives and implementing tendering processes for evaluation and award.

  • Tendering process implementation including RFT, RFQ, and RFP evaluation and award.
  • Working with stakeholders to determine contractual requirements, including amendments or extensions to contracts.

The ideal candidate will possess at least 3 years' experience in a similar Contracts Officer role, along with relevant qualifications such as a Diploma in Contract Management/Administration or substantial experience in a similar capacity. Excellent communication skills are essential for building positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and implement annual and long-term procurement plans to deliver optimal outcomes for the business.
  2. Determine contractual requirements through collaboration with stakeholders and implement necessary contract modifications.
  3. Negotiate and maintain productive relationships with colleagues, business partners, regulators, government officials, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:

The successful applicant must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Contracts Officer role.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Diploma in Contract Management/Administration or substantial experience in a similar capacity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
