Evolutionary and Developmental Biology Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join our team in the field of Evolutionary and Developmental Biology.

The successful applicant will have a PhD in Evolutionary Biology or a closely related discipline, with a demonstrated track record of research excellence in developmental and evolutionary biology.

The role involves building on existing strengths in single cell transcriptomics and pan-genomics, developing a network of international collaborators, and teaching genetics and evolutionary medicine to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

About the Opportunity

This is a fixed-term position for 4 years, providing an opportunity to grow and strengthen research in these fields, as well as contribute to training the next generation of biological and biomedical scientists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-quality research in Evolutionary and Developmental Biology, including the use of cutting-edge techniques such as single cell transcriptomics and pan-genomics.
  • Develop a network of relationships with international collaborators to enhance research opportunities and outcomes.
  • Teach genetics and evolutionary medicine to undergraduate and postgraduate students, including laboratory-based practical classes, tutorials, and lecture delivery.
  • Contribute to the growth and strengthening of research in Evolutionary and Developmental Biology, including the development of new research initiatives and collaborations.
