Construction Site Coordinator Job Description

This role is ideal for a skilled construction professional who can effectively plan, coordinate and lead site operations to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of construction activities.

About the Role
  • You will be responsible for planning and preparing site works, including conducting walk-outs, scoping and scheduling to ensure that construction activities are well-organized and run smoothly.
  • The successful candidate will lead and support teams on-site, working closely with subcontractors and colleagues to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Collaboration and communication with stakeholders are key aspects of this role, requiring you to provide clear guidance and escalate issues when necessary.
  • You will be accountable for ensuring safety, quality and resources on site, overseeing HSE practices, checking work standards and making sure materials and equipment are available when needed.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • A relevant trade qualification with experience in a supervisory role is essential.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications (Telstra/NBN) and civil construction backgrounds, including directional drilling, ploughing and open trenching, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret Telstra and NBN plans, as well as understanding residential and business cabling requirements, is advantageous.
  • The successful candidate will also have a willingness to travel across the state.
