Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lecturer in English to join our academic team at Charles Sturt University.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to teaching and research as part of a professional team, delivering high-quality education experiences to students.

  • As a Lecturer in English, you will be responsible for teaching a range of subjects, developing and extending your research career, and utilizing your teaching and/or research experience to provide quality education experiences to students.
The Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering a variety of subjects as part of a professional team;
  • Developing and extending your research career;
  • Utilizing your teaching and/or research experience to provide quality education experiences to students;
  • Working as part of a team engaged in teaching a range of degree programs as a proven lecturer and researcher specialising in the English discipline;
  • Contribute to teaching students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels both on-campus and online;
  • Course development and providing supervision to higher degree research students.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A PhD in a English/Literature;
  • A record of research along with demonstrated capacity for research supervision;
  • Strong interpersonal and team work skills to actively contribute to collaborative processes to design, deliver and continually improve high quality courses and learning experiences for students.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is $102,486 - $121,504 pa (plus 17% superannuation) and is based in Albury-Wodonga or Port Macquarie. We offer a range of benefits, including:
