Senior Environmental Advisor

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced environmental professional to join our team in Kalgoorlie-Boulder. As a Senior Environmental Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our Company's culture and contributing to our collective success.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years' relevant experience in the mining/resources industry and hold a Bachelor's Degree majoring in an Environment related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.

  • Develop and implement environmental strategies and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Coordinate technical studies and prepare environmental approval applications to support operational continuity of our sites.
  • Interpret legislation and government guidelines to guide site operational teams in maintaining compliance and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Champion environmental approvals processes and support the implementation of our Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Lead significant environmental incident investigations and follow-up on corrective actions with department managers.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent understanding of environment, mining, and heritage legislation in WA.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental impacts and controls associated with mining and processing operations.
  • Solid understanding of Environmental Management Systems (ISO14001) and auditing processes.
  • Experience with GIS, preferably ArcGIS Pro, and other database management programs such as Power BI and SharePoint.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, with the ability to multi-task effectively in a dynamic and outcome-focused environment.
  • Ability to build collaborative and functional relationships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
