Role Overview

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to fill the position of Diagnostic Imaging Specialist. This role provides a unique opportunity to develop expertise in medical imaging services, with comprehensive training in CT technology and support across multiple hospital sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality diagnostic medical imaging services in accordance with national registration, professional practices, standards, and policies specific to the local health district.
  • Work within a shift roster, delivering general imaging services, including modalities such as intra-operative fluoroscopy, mobile x-ray, and fixed fluoroscopy.
  • Participate in CT training according to site requirements, developing technical skills and knowledge in this area.
  • For those based at Maitland, participate in the Upper Hunter Relief Radiographer program, which may require residing nearby an Upper Hunter Hospital site for periods to provide leave relief and on-call services.
Requirements
  • Eligible for a degree in Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography) or equivalent prior to commencement of the role.
  • Eligible for registration with the Australian Health Professionals Registration Authority (AHPRA).
  • Eligibility to hold/current NSW EPA Radiation license.
  • Current NSW Driver's license.
  • Able to reside adjacent to Upper Hunter New England Imaging sites when required.
