Senior System Administrator Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator to lead a Linux server decommissioning project. This role will play a crucial part in our infrastructure optimisation program, ensuring the smooth removal of legacy systems.

This senior administrator position requires strong experience with Linux systems, including leading the decommissioning process and collaborating with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure compliance and minimal disruption.

The successful candidate will contribute to documentation and reporting throughout the project, providing technical support and troubleshooting as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the decommissioning of Linux servers as part of an infrastructure optimisation program.
  • Work closely with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure compliance and minimal business disruption.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the decommissioning process.
  • Contribute to documentation and reporting throughout the project.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience as a Senior System Administrator, with a focus on Linux systems.
  • Proven track record in server decommissioning or migration projects.
  • Exposure to VMware and Wintel environments highly advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight project timelines.
  • Immediate availability is essential.
