Job Overview

You will be inspecting damaged motor vehicles and caravans, determining damage costs, recommending cost-effective methods of claim settlement, and providing consistent and efficient repair management practices within measured service and cost targets.

  • Compile accurate reports on the extent of accident damage and vehicle condition.
  • Advise and review assessment reports to validate assessment decisions.

Strong communication skills are essential in this role, as well as problem-solving skills, flexibility, and enthusiasm in a professional work environment.

Training and development opportunities will be provided to support you in your role.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assess damaged motor vehicles and caravans, determining damage costs.
  • Recommend cost-effective methods of claim settlement.
  • Provide consistent and efficient repair management practices.
  • Inspect vehicles to compile accurate reports.
  • Advise and review assessment reports.
  • Adhere to Motor Vehicle Insurance and Repair Industry Code of Conduct.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant trade qualifications in Panel Beating, Spray Painting or Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
  • Hands-on experience as a Panel Beater, Spray Painter or Automotive Mechanic.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm in a professional work environment.
