Job Summary

The Commercial Finance Analyst is a vital role in our team, responsible for providing analytical support across the Commercial Planning & Analysis function. This includes delivering forecasting and budgeting cycles, conducting financial analysis, and working closely with the VP, Commercial Finance, ANZ, and the wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Preparation and Analysis: Gather, organize, and maintain financial data from various sources, analyzing financial trends and performance, identifying variances against budgets and forecasts.
  • Reporting: Develop and prepare monthly, quarterly, annual financial and KPI reporting to the business, providing key insights and summary analysis for stakeholders across the business.
  • Budgeting And Forecasting: Prepare budgets and forecasts at each cycle, including analysis of past performance, maintaining the rolling forecast, and uploading data to the finance system.
  • Business Partnering & Relationships: Understand end-to-end business processes and systems used across functions such as Sales, Marketing, Content, Operations, Finance and Legal, working closely with regional and central teams.

Requirements

  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Experience with Power BI / AI automation tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective management of conflicting priorities and achievement of successful outcomes.
  • Degree qualified in Finance, Business, statistics or similar discipline.

About This Role

This role will work closely with the VP, Commercial Finance, ANZ, Commercial Finance Analyst peers, and the wider finance team across BBC ANZ and overseas. The ideal candidate will have experience with budgeting and forecasting, strong analytical ability, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
