Personal Care Specialist

We are seeking dedicated and empathetic individuals to provide high-quality care and support to people with disabilities, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives and reach their full potential.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care services including hoisting, peg feeding, medication administration, bowel care, showering, and grooming. They will work with clients who have complex needs, including those with behavioral issues or Positive Behavior Support Plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care services that meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of care services.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families.
  • Travel throughout the designated area as required.
  • Be flexible and reliable in meeting the changing needs of the service.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in Disability Care and/or Aged Care.
  • Yellow Card or NDIS worker screening clearance (or obtain immediately).
  • Blue Card (or obtain immediately).
  • Current First Aid and CPR (or obtain immediately).
  • Driver's License, comprehensive vehicle insurance, and Vehicle.
  • NDIS worker orientation module and Covid-19 Infection control completion (both free online training).
  • Positive attitude and passion to improving the lives of others.
  • Adhere to The NDIS Code of Conduct.
  • Good physical health and fitness.
  • COVID Vaccination Certificate.
