Job Title: Board Director - Primary Healthcare - Allied Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Board Director to join our team at Wentworth Healthcare. As a Board Director, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of our organization and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, accessible, and integrated primary healthcare services to our community.

About Us

Wentworth Healthcare is a not-for-profit public company and registered health promotion charity established in 2012. We have a skills-based board of 9 directors and a mission to empower general practice and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, accessible, and integrated primary healthcare that meets the needs of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization's strategic plan
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on primary healthcare and allied health matters
  • Represent the organization at external meetings and events
  • Collaborate with other directors and stakeholders to achieve organizational goals
Requirements
  • Accredited allied health professional with demonstrable experience in the primary care profession
  • Demonstrable commitment to allied health participation in the multi-disciplinary primary care team
  • Demonstrable strong networks and leadership in primary care and a commitment to improving the provision of primary care across the region
  • Understanding of Australia's health policy environment and health reform agenda, and the ability to identify opportunities to progress the strategic vision of Wentworth Healthcare
  • An understanding of corporate governance principles and financial literacy to the level expected of a director
