Our mental health service is a leading provider, renowned for quality care. We offer a range of inpatient and outpatient services, delivering patient-centred care that is respectful and responsive to individual needs.
Our programs and care are based on the recovery model, including relapse prevention strategies.
Responsibilities:- Overseeing safe, high-quality patient care that meets current best practice standards
- Collaborating with Visiting Medical Officers, Hospital Executive, and Nurse Unit Managers to ensure seamless operation of wards and departments
- Ensuring all areas are staffed efficiently and cost-effectively
- Coordinating patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Monitoring the safety of patients and hospital staff
- Providing overarching management to the hospital during out-of-hours periods
- 5 years of Registered Nursing experience in an acute mental health setting
- Recent inpatient mental health management experience at ANUM level or higher
- Demonstrated expertise in staff coordination and allocation
- High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- People leadership skills, including mentorship and coaching
- Ability to manage special projects and portfolios
- Post Graduate Qualification in a mental health-related discipline or management (desired)
- Knowledge of relevant Awards and Enterprise Agreements (desired)
