We're seeking a highly motivated and passionate professional to join our team in Outer Eastern Melbourne. This is an ongoing, full-time or part-time opportunity (minimum 4 days per week) with a salary range of $83,582 - $100,342, inclusive of annual leave loading and superannuation.

Job Description

As a Developmental Educator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working alongside participants and their support networks to develop new skills and strategies
  • Championing the social model approach to help individuals break down barriers and engage with their community
  • Using evidence-based practice to identify and address factors that may impact relationships and outcomes
  • Enhancing participant capacity for independent living and decision-making

You'll be part of an interdisciplinary team, supported to become a highly effective social model therapist. Our teams work collaboratively to provide person-centered support and planning, ensuring NDIS-funded participants achieve the best possible outcomes.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor or Masters in Disability (or equivalent)
  • Membership eligibility with the DEAI (required upon commencement)
  • Suitability assessment and Behaviour Support Practitioner certification (may be required)
  • Passion for removing barriers using the social model of therapy
  • Strong advocacy skills and ability to build strong relationships
