About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our Maintenance Team. As a Heavy Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for performing the servicing, repair, and maintenance of mobile fleet and other equipment in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication, and maintenance systems documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing the servicing, repair, and maintenance of mobile fleet and other equipment
  • Completing general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component change outs to a high standard
  • Source technical information from relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems
  • Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards
  • Carrying out pre-start checks

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a trade qualification as a Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years post-trade experience in the mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry. You will also need to have experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs, and servicing of CAT and Hitachi mobile equipment.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification as Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years post-trade experience in the mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry
  • Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs, and servicing of CAT and Hitachi mobile equipment
  • Experience in vehicle air conditioning systems (desirable)
  • HR drivers licence (desirable)
  • High Risk Fork Lift and Dogging ticket (desirable)
  • Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times
