About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our Maintenance Team at Thiess. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the servicing, repair, and maintenance of our mobile fleet and other equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mobile equipment in accordance with Thiess' servicing and maintenance systems documentation
  • Conduct general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component change-outs to a high standard
  • Source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and perform pre-start checks

About You

  • Trade qualification as Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years post-trade experience in the mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry
  • Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change-outs, and servicing of CAT and Hitachi mobile equipment
  • Desirable skills include experience with vehicle air conditioning systems, HR driver's license, and High Risk Fork Lift and Dogging ticket
  • Proven commitment to health and safety at all times
