About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Search Engine Optimization to join our dynamic Marketing team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in leading the evolution of Search Marketing at Compare the Market. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy, driving our business forward through strategic vision and hands-on operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an SEO program of work to achieve long-term ranking success.
  • Commission and operationalize annual audits and ad-hoc insights from external SEO experts.
  • Create an annual Programme of Work for each vertical within CTM, aligning strategy with fiscal year commercial targets to maximize visibility, traffic, and lead volumes.
  • Set SEO performance goals and establish a measurement framework.
  • Deliver detailed reports to the Senior Execution Team, CTM Board, and A&G Risk stakeholders.
  • Manage the SEO content writing team and external agency partners to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of website content.
  • Collaborate with the PPC team to share learnings, tests, and best practices to minimize cannibalization.
  • Work closely with the IT team to ensure technical SEO optimization.
  • Proactively monitor and manage SEO performance against key competitors.
  • Provide thought leadership on the future of search, identifying new opportunities for CTM to excel in Search Marketing.

Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in designing and delivering SEO strategies and plans in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills to articulate and promote the vision for SEO across all levels at CTM.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people skills to thrive in an integrated setting, aligning commercial and marketing stakeholders' goals by fostering trust and uniting teams around a shared vision.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking to translate insights and observations into actionable programmes of work.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, combining high-level strategic thinking with empathy and practicality to build and motivate a high-performing team.
  • A deep curiosity and passion for SEO, driven by a continuous learning approach to business.
