We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our dynamic team on a casual basis at our Hurstville centre. As a Radiation Therapist, you will report directly to the Unit Leader and play a key role in our multidisciplinary team during this exciting growth period.

Hurstville is an integrated cancer centre located at the Waratah Private Hospital. Our team strives to deliver a personalised care experience designed to help patients achieve the best possible clinical outcomes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking treatment responsibilities and associated duties
  • Promoting and contributing to an effective multidisciplinary team at the Centre and across the practice
  • Ensuring the correct administration of all radiation therapy processes and procedures
  • Initiating and completing documentation requirements in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintaining established patient care standards
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals in the planning and delivery of patient services
  • Providing patients with relevant material and information relating to radiation therapy
  • Demonstrating competence in Radiation Therapy, CT, and treatment planning, as well as possibly rotating through various areas

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Technical competence in treatment, including comprehensive knowledge of contemporary radiotherapy modalities and techniques
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong empathy, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • A strong understanding of radiotherapy and associated allied healthcare services, as well as qualifications and experience
  • A Bachelor's degree relevant to the field (Radiation Therapy, Radiation Oncology Medical Physics, etc.)
  • Registration as a Radiation Therapist with AHPRA
  • A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
