Our organization is seeking a skilled Culinary Assistant to join our team. This role will involve supporting chefs with food preparation tasks, ensuring high standards of quality, presentation, and hygiene are maintained across all kitchen areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and assemble sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other grab-and-go items to a high standard of quality and presentation.
- Ensure the freshness of ingredients and follow portion control and food safety guidelines.
- Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene across all food preparation and kitchen areas.
- Perform temperature checks and manage cross-contamination in line with WHS and Food Safety standards.
- Support chefs with basic food prep tasks such as chopping, portioning ingredients, and preparing items ahead of service.
- Assist with general kitchen operations, including dishwashing, sanitizing equipment, and cleaning workstations.
Previous experience in a culinary or related role is highly desirable, along with a passion for working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
