We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse/Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join our Day Surgery team at Friendly Society Private Hospital. As a key member of our perioperative nursing team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Admit and prepare patients for surgery, monitoring their vital signs and overall condition
- Monitor patients as they recover from the effects of anesthesia during the second stage of recovery
- Manage patient pain and nausea, as well as other post-operative symptoms
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Think critically and make confident decisions in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Tertiary qualifications and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated competence in basic life support
- Advanced communication and evaluation skills to enhance patient care and safety
- High attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely documentation
